Mark Sanders is a founding partner and creative director at Q Collective.


With a Bachelor Degree in architectural design, Mark Sanders worked six years as a project designer and manager of large-scale hotel projects in Atlanta. Besides working on the planning, design and detailing for these projects, he also managed drawing production teams, established project schedules and ultimately oversaw construction. Mark chose to further advance his design career by earning a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Communication from Virginia Commonwealth University where he focused on interactive design, identity & systems design as well as experimental visualization. It is this combination of experience that makes him uniquely qualified to design, produce and coordinate ambitious projects that exceed their specific goals.

At Q Collective, Mark designs and produces interactive projects, identities, literature systems and promotional items for a diverse group of clients. His interactive design work has been honored by AIGA as well as the IAWMD and has received an American Graphic Design award for identity. His work has also been published by the New York Times, HOW Magazine and in numerous books on typography, identity, interactive and systems design. Mark has taught identity, systems and publication design at Rutgers University in New Jersey, experimental typography at Parsons School of Design as well as typography, design and technology in the MS and MFA Graduate Communications Design programs at Pratt.

Mark is an adept project manager and client relationship coordinator. He is also sought after for his visual communications and marketing strategy for start ups as well as companies and institutions who seek to establish new pathways.

He is an avid reader, a food lover, a people-watcher, a photographer and has been learning how to play the bass for several years.
